We are the oldest operating barbershop in Independence. From it's humble beginnings in the 1930's, East Alton St. Barbershop continues to provide quality haircuts. 

People ask me, "how did you come up with the name "East Alton St."? Aren't you on 23rd St.?  Well, 23rd street used to be called Alton street until it was connected to 23rd street in Kansas City in the 1960's. Old Independence street numbers still run East or West from Main street. Forest street on the West to Lee's Summit Road to the East.
